The Road Less Traveled

I was going through my photos from a trip to Italy and I ran across this one. This is a street in the city of Assisi, a town at high elevation. To get where you want to go in those mountain towns, you have to do some work that involves huffing and puffing.

On this particular Sunday morning it was quite evident that my wife and I were the only ones who chose to tread upon the infamous "road less traveled".

Seller: You Can Cover It Up, But You Can't Hide It

It probably has less to due with deception, and more to do with ignorance, but many sellers paint right over the top of the rot. Anytime there is an older house on the market, if the home inspector has experience in the field, he or she will be on… more

This post is not very creative. Pretty much what most of us are doing in the AR community. But I would like to wish a very happy Thanksgiving to all of the people here at ActiveRain. We have some challenges here right now. Snow is such that some of… more

When I owned a radio broadcasting station, more than a decade ago, I had an employee in the sales department who used to talk about "dangling a carrot on a stick" in front of advertisers. I guess that I do not have to explain that… more

This past weekend I posted a photo showing the, at that time, fresh and pristine coating of snow that had dusted Bellingham and Whatcom County. It was almost pretty enough to put on a Christmas card. It is now Tuesday and the weather… more

I have written previously that in the Italian city of Verona, the home of Romeo and Juliet, the essence of the famous couple is everywhere. There is the home and balcony of Juliet, where everyone tries, with considerable success to have physical… more
