The Supremes, when first signed to Motown by Berry Gordy, had trouble getting that first hit in the USA -- or anywhere else. But, once they had arrived on the top 40, they were dynamos and were some of the most consistent hit-makers ever. They were listed as one of the favorite groups of the fab four.
