Twin-Pick (Music Trivia Quiz) -- What's Tops For The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones were part of the early wave of the British Invasion. They are called the world's greatest rock and roll band. There is no question about it, they are the longest performing -- as in touring over the years -- rock and roll supergroup ever. I never would have predicted that they would outlive the Beatles by so many decades.

The Stones, Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel and Clapton are legendary and a few of the last remaining remnants of the early 1960's.

The Rolling Stones have not had a top hit in 20 years but they have been doing concert tours that sell seats.  I wonder how many people know which of the Stone's songs had the most chart success. This contest one is pretty hard.

Yes, it is time for another Twin-Pick. This is the music trivia contest that tickles your memory gland. If you select the wrong answer, in this case, you will receive the Bronx cheer by nobody less than the Rolling Stones themselves. On the other hand, if and when you get it right, you will be taken to a live performance of that very song by the original artist.

There are no losers here, only those who can try and then try again. If you have an idea or a theme for a stories behind the music or a twin-pick contest that you would like to see, send me an Email or leave the idea in your comments below.

Question: The Rolling Stones had chart success over a span of 20 years. Of the selections below, which song does Billboard rank as the biggest hit ever (#255 of all-time) for the Stones?

A. Beast of Burden -- 1978

B. Honky Tonk Women -- 1969

C. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction -- 1965

D. Waiting On A Friend -- 1982

E. Angie -- 1973

F. Paint It Black -- 1966

Steven, I would have guessed Satisfaction would have been their biggest success. Honky Tonk Women was my second choice.

Knew it wasn't Satisfaction, but it still took three tries to get it right.

Well I didn't completelty fail but it did take 3 picks. They had so many good songs that they haven't needed to make any new ones in order to keep selling concert tickets.

James,

We knew you would get it eventually.

Kathy,

Common sense says satisfaction but, of course, it cannot be that easy.

I'm getting better.  Just one bad guess and thanks for having no ugly little kids this time.  Why don't you do something on Connie Francis.  I used to love her.

Gosh, Steven. It is hard to believe that the Stones are still rocking. They have to be one of the longest lived groups still going...

Mick is what, almost 65 and still rocking on stage.  Since Satisfaction was the obvious answer I didn't pick it, but still missed it the first time.

Got it right, but didn't realize that it was a 1969 hit. I sure do miss the 60's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
