I have, over the last several years, made a habit of posting my deer photos at Active Rain. Deer are very photogenic. Over and over again, when I see deer, it is at home inspections at Sudden Valley. Heck, they might be on the road but, more often than not, they come right up to me to visit. Here is one that I took a shot at (camera shot) right after the creature went meandering by. Thanks for stopping by, Steven L. Smith

Steve, why is Nutsy scaring the deer away again?
Oh Dear!!! Actually this reminds me a photo of a deer I took a couple years back at our train museum - I have to find it now! That deer scared us good jumping out behind an old train car - :)
When I see deer in the area it gives me the sense that the environment is healthy there. Thanks Steven!
Oh deer! I just thought that I seen a petunia eater...
Helping you to help others live their American dream...
That guy looks like a side dish to the up coming barbecue at which you assistant shall be the "guest of honor".
Mr James,
He, He, He as Mrs Kate would say. Sorry but I will NOT be cooking up deer for our barbecue.
Nutsy
Is is hard to find good hunting areas these days. Those tricky critters know where it is safe!
The head is up and the tail is down - that deer is upset. What did you do...?
Steve - Is he running because he heard somebody say VENISON?
They are getting more bold as we move into their habitat. Nurseries around Corvallis stock "deer resistant" plants, which I am not convinced actually are. They just slow them down a little. They love roses!
