I was out at Sudden Valley the other day. That is a community south of Bellingham. You go by Lake Whatcom and suddenly you are at Sudden Valley. It has it's own little lake -- Lake Louise. I remember going to see Lake Louise as a kid, before Sudden Valley was a thought in anyone's mind. My dad would drive there, with me in tow, and no one was ever around except an old guy, probably a squatter, who lived in a tar paper shack. There were deer too, and I still take photos of deer almost every time I go out there. Today was an exception, I did not see deer, but I got a nice photo of a little park and the lake and nearby houses. Thanks for stopping by, Steven L. Smith

Hey, Steven, I knew an old guy who used to fish out at Lake Louise, long time ago. He's dead now, but his name was Pete Cota. Lived Duck Valley Res, ever hear of him?
Maria,
No, afraid not on that one.
Steven - this picture could be from northern Finland where I grew up. Funny the similarities.
Steven,
That is a very peaceful seen and it is a place I could go and relax.
Thanks for sharing the photo that included so much natural beauty. It's beautiful in San Ramon CA as well, but we don't have lakes like this.
Steven, that is a real peaceful picture. I am looking forward towards my next visit to the Pacific NW...
Helping you to help others live their American dream...
Doesn't look like there is anything sudden about that spot.
Thanks for the beautiful photo. Would love to be there now.
It looks pretty pleasant there, that I will confess.
It is a lovely photo - I remember going there as a kid with a friend and her family...
Steve - Very beautiful indeed. And, very similar to views I have experienced here in the Hudson Valley. Sometimes the best views in life are FREE. Getting there, now that's always the problem. So we need to appreciate our local scenery and not make these drives drive-by experiences. Glad you stopped for a photo- Thanks for sharing.
Howdy there Steven
That sure is some mighty fine looken country there. And as usual you took a real fine photo to show us.
