I was at a home inspection recently, really a high house, and I kept seeing birds entering up under the soffit. Residents of the home were under the impression that the birds were nesting outside, not getting inside the attic. Since I saw no nests up there, I suspected that the feathered friends were getting inside. When I got a ladder up under the eave, it was evident that the birds were, for sure, making the attic their home. In fact, it looks like they did some chewing just to make it easier access to help them in their role as birds in the attic. Ā Thanks for stopping by, Steven L. Smith

wow, those are some birds. Alfred Hitchcock would have hired them for sure! good post pics.
I thought that only squirrels did that!
Birds are very good at getting into the attic and soffits----often pecking right through the hardware cloth screening on the "bird-blocking"----guess they don't call it that for nothing:)
that is a never a fun situation! good luck to your sellers!
Isn't there a song about that?
Birds in the attic now, two by two! Go ahead, sing along...
Which is worse, birds in your attic or bats in your belfry? H-m-m-m...
Helping you help others live their American dream...
I wish all my clients were that eager to get into new homes Steven!
O.K does the home owner fix the hole or buy a cat? Better fix the hole, those birds had to be persistent and might win.
