This is my first venture into any sort of video presentation and I think I might do some procedural documents on technical topics using this same format.
Thanks for stopping by, Steven L. Smith
I have been monkeying around the past few weeks with a video about home inspection and my firm. Having worked in broadcasting for years I viewed this less as a video and more as a voice-over with applicable photos. This has not been done without a few hassles but, generally, I think it turned out pretty well. I uploaded it to youtube today. I am having a hassle there in that the quality of photos is better than the upload is allowing. I have to get a file converter to get my better quality video saved to a format they can use. For now, I will put a link below so you can see what I came up with. When I get the better quality video, I will upload that but this is, as it is, pretty typical of online quality so not bad. I, also, have no clue why youtube selected, as the feature photo for the embed, a big puddle of water out of the middle of the video....anyway to change that? Update: did as I was told in comments, change may be coming.

Good Job, is that your voiceover? Hope you get leads off of YouTube!
Ellen
Very nice Steven. I'm not fond of video. I'd much rather search for and read about a company. That said, video seems to work with lots of folks.
Yours is easy on the eye and not too long. Good luck with it.
Ellen, Yep, that is the old radio guy in me. Lenn, I just see it as something else for google to find but I wanted it to be something I was pleased with.
Steve, That was great! Hope it brings in clients. I wonder if I could do one with Nazareth-Hair of the Dog in the back ground:)
Steven - Impressive first video. I'm still working on doing my "first." I hope I can do as well as you did!
Steven, great job! I don't have an answer as to why Youtube picked that, I am sure an expert will come along.
Only one disappointment.... someone was missing... someone... furry...
Interesting, as you say, that youtube would select a water puddle for an opening. You have really great audio and vide here. Congratulations on your first success into the video world.
That was great Steve! It both looked and sounded very professional. You can probably sell that to home inspectors all over the country with just a few tweeks here and there.
I was disappointed you didn't end with 10 seconds or so reading all the disclaimers so fast no one could catch the words. Maybe Billy Jays could do a little voice over at the end... ;)
Steve, well done. You can change the picture. It is a random image. I do not know why the programmers did that either...
I agree with all the complements above, Nice job! Leaving nutsy out of it was probably a Good idea. He's a little over priced and a bit of a trouble maker. Fame can do that to a guy.
Curtis,
You are a wise man, that is a reason you are on my short list of other inspectors that I refer.
Steven-- We all have to start somewhere, right? Good beginning, I think.
Steven ... video is not normally what I look for but some people might.
Nice video. I think the best parts are when you show and explain actual issues of houses.
Thanks, Well developed video I learned a lot!
Hi Steve, Congratulations and great job with this video. I think this is the wave of the future and you did a great job of introducing your company with informative content. jay
James,
I think he could have added a lot, but 5k is big bucks for a brief appearance.
