Here in Bellingham and Whatcom County I run into many helpful animals on home inspections. Once I ran into a herd or flock of goats, that danced on my vehicle. Then I have run into any number of deer out in rural, and not so rural, areas. And I have seen many helpful dogs and fewer helpful cats. Cats tend to hinder the inspection by vanishing and then showing up where you do not expect to find them. My most recent helper was a very nice dog. She was in and out of the residence any number of times during the inspection but she never really got in the way, despite following me around much of the time. Thanks for stopping by, Steven L. Smith

Steven, what a cutie she is! And it sure was a good thing she was helpful!
I have to ask, what has happened to Nutsy? I have missed his bright shining face, his wit and wisdom. I hope all is well with him. Please send him my regards.
Steven, sounds like a great helper for your inspection! ~ Susan
Andrea,
He is on vacation in Alaska. He is missed but is writing and will be home before too many days elapse. Charlie Buell is begging for his return ASAP
I wish you a photo of the dancing goats...what an image! Nothing like company in the trenches with us in the new landscape of real estate.
Hi Steve, Never had any goats or deer on my inspections, but plenty of dogs, they're the best. jay
Jay,
You wonder what the dog was thinking! Love dogs!
REminds me of the chocolate lab on yesterday's inspection. Friendly but stinky...
Looks like she's inviting you outside. "You want to see my little friend?"
Ask Charlie B about the cat we ran into when I was visiting. We only saw it for a second, but man it could jump and move!
