Let's Hear it For the Kitties

A couple days back I posted an article introducing a kitten that the wife and I have taken in. I mentioned that we were keeping the boy and socializing the girl to give away. I also said that I would be posting a photo of the pair of them.

The black kitty on the right, the girl, is the one up for adoption. The tiger kitty is very friendly and both are pretty tame, but the black one is not as bold. She will fall asleep if you hold her, but she does not come up to you like the tiger will. We are working on that.

There is still one other kitten to catch, not sure how I will get that done.

Gene,

I am sure we will. She is coming along nicely for having been captured only a week back.

Steven, thank you for taking care of the little ones.  I adopt all of my 'kids' and one was a stray boy cat with feline AIDS.  The vet said we should put him down on our first visit because he had thirteen things wrong with him.  We nursed him back to health within six weeks.  Eight years later, Romeo is still going strong.  And he has earned his name - he is such a Sweetheart!

Steven - oh they are so cute and sweet. Our office kitty Maddie glanced at the monitor when I said oh, look kitties... then she went back to sleep! What a life. ~Rita

They are a furry pair. Pretty fun to watch destroy our home and belongings.

Zoey thinks they are precious and says, "Meow," which, as I understand it, means one of the following:

  • Hellooooooooooo. I'm right here under your feet!
  • Hellooooooooooo. I'm right up here!
  • Please feed me.
  • Please clean my litter box.
  • Please hold me.
  • Please play with me.
  • Please rub my tummy.
  • Please rub my chin.
  • Please scratch my ears.
  • Please don't give me a bath.

It might have some other meanings, but those are the ones I've been able to translate.
