Wordless Wednesday

Check out "This Day In History" -- music and vintage television from the 1950's through the 1980's.  I enjoy writing these articles because they take me back to my days in radio broadcasting. Click on Elvis' gold record, below, to revisit those golden hits of yesteryear.

I was there last March...wish I was there now! I have a few pictures of others in front of the museum, I also have some nice gold jewelry. My mom and I try to get to Venice every 2-3 years. We try and stay for about 2 weeks. I love Venice!!! Last year, we took a 3 day "vacation" from Venice and went shopping in Florence....a great trip.

Even the "tip jar" is gold!  Venice is a great spot, one of my favorite places in Italy.

That's amazing ... he almost doesn't look real. Thanks for sharing it with us.

So when does Nutsy put on his suit.  I hear you can make a few bucks doing this stuff if you can find a sponsor.

Actually,

That was Charlie down at Pike Place market, a couple hours after he finished his paper route, right before the weinie roast.

Hey----I am NOT the one with the gold fingernails----so don't go spreading vicious 3/4 truths.

Holy Cow ...... That guy/status looks just like Charles. All he needs is for Raven to sit (shi...) on his shoulder.

Steven I had my picture taken with a golden John Wayne in New Your City a few years ago! These guys are very cool! I read once that King Henry Vlll, I think it was, once had a little boy dancer covered in gold for one of his parties. Real Gold. And the boy later died. I guess it poisoned him. I think it's safe to assume that these guys are not using real gold... LOL

Maybe he needs a pigeon to sit on his shoulder!

Pat,

Maybe you could send one from NYC. Oh, I forgot, you did not see any there.

Hey Steve,

Very interesting photo! I'm reading that you took it in Venice...I have always wanted to go to Italy...that is where my heritage originates after all.

Tony,

No this is I think Bologna but it might be Florence. Venice is cool. My favorite city might be Verona, near Venice. If you ever go I can give you tips. We have been five times.

Hi Steven, I'm a little late for Wednesday but still enjoy this photo!  You will find these actors/mimes all across Europe in the major and not so major cities!  Sometimes, you have to look twice to realize it's a human and not a statue!  Thanks for sharing.
